Sacred Ground
Sacred Ground is a film- and readings-based dialogue series on race, grounded in faith. There are 12 spots available for this journey. We will meet in person in the large classroom and via zoom. Participants are invited to walk through chapters of America’s history of race and racism, while weaving in threads of family story, economic class, and political and regional identity. This is a heavy reading class and videos series.
The 11-part series is built around a powerful online curriculum of documentary films and readings that focus on Indigenous, Black, Latino, and Asian/Pacific American histories as they intersect with European American histories.
New Session TBD.
Facilitator is Melissa Simpson. Please email her at mleasimpson@gmail.com if you’re interested in taking this course. This will be her 3rd time offering this class.
