Over the weekend of October 24 - 26, Saint Mark's Episcopal Church in Little Rock will be hosting Stephen Darlington. Stephen is a renowned organist, choirmaster and scholar. He was Lecturer in Music and Organist at Christ Church College and Cathedral, Oxford University, and is regarded as one of the finest church musicians of his generation.
On Friday, October 24 at 7:00 pm, Stephen will present the Wittenburg Lecture at St. Mark's Church. On Saturday, October 25 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, he will direct a major choral event and St Mark's is inviting all singers and musicians from the Diocese to join us. The day will take the form of a Choral Workshop and culminate in a service of Choral Evensong at 4:00 pm. There will also be the opportunity for a Q&A session with Stephen.
Our hope is for a true Diocesan Choirs Festival with a church full of singers! If you would like more information or have any questions, please contact Tim Allen, Organist at St. Mark's Church.
