Our popular Faith & Literature summer class is back! Facilitated by our own Dr. Deborah Wilson, retired professor of American literature, this class offers a deep dive into a selection of short literary readings and how they inform, reflect on, and challenge our faith and theology. Join us for our first week on Sunday, July 12 at 9:00 am in the large classroom.
Week One (7/12): Randall Kenan's “The Acts of Velmajean Swearington Hoyt and the New City of God” from his 2020 short story collection If I Had Two Wings
Be sure to complete the assigned reading ahead of the class in order to prepare for the discussion! Hard copies can also be found in the church office and in Shoemaker Hall.
