Backpack Blessing
As a new school year begins, we invite students, teachers, and school staff of all ages to bring their backpacks, bags, or devices for a special blessing during the 8:00am and 10:30am services on Sunday, August 16.
Each participant will receive a tag as a reminder that they are blessed, loved, and surrounded by our prayers throughout the year ahead.

Education for Ministry 2026-27 enrollment begins soon! The program is open to anyone who is interested, and scholarships are available. Raney, a conservative Free Will Baptist, already challenged by her dad Charles's new and strange anti-nuclear activism, agrees to accompany her mother-in-law, Millie, to an Episcopal Church service, which also is a strange and different way to do church. Also included from Susan Ketchen's The Christ-Haunted Landscape: Faith and Doubt in Southern Fiction, is her interview with Clyde Edgerton.

As Lukas prepares to leave for seminary this fall, we invite you to support him with a monetary gift toward the purchase of his vestments. These vestments will accompany him throughout his seminary formation and, God willing, into his future ministry. Faithful Foundations Campaign Update
I continue to be amazed by the generosity of our All Saints’ family. Even after our campaign ingathering, pledges have continued to come in, and I am excited to share that we have now received $307,422.20 in pledged commitments.
Simply put, I am humbled. Thank you for believing in the future of All Saints’ and for responding so generously. Your gifts are about much more than roofs, parking lots, or maintenance. They are an expression of your love for this parish and your hope for the generations who will worship and serve here after us.
This Sunday’s Gospel, the Parable of the Sower, feels especially meaningful. Jesus tells us that seed planted in good soil bears an abundant harvest. As I look at this parish, I see good soil. I see faithful people whose generosity, compassion, and commitment allow God’s work to flourish. The seeds planted by those who founded All Saints’ continue to bear fruit today, and through this campaign, we are planting seeds that will bless those who come after us.
Thank you for making All Saints’ such good soil. I can’t wait to see what God will continue to grow here in the years ahead!

Thanks to the generosity of our parish family, the Faithful Foundations Capital Campaign continues to make progress. To date, we have received 32 pledges totaling $217,422.20, bringing us to nearly 97% of our $225,000 goal. In addition, $32,368.48 has already been received toward those pledges, allowing us to make a start on the most important projects.
We are so grateful for everyone who has made a commitment. Your gift is an investment in the future of All Saints’ and in our ministries for generations to come.
If you have not yet made a pledge, it’s not too late! We would love to reach our campaign goal, and every pledge brings us closer. Whether large or small, your participation makes a difference.
Thank you again for your prayers, generosity, and faithfulness. Together, we are building on a strong foundation and ensuring that All Saints’ remains a place of worship, welcome, and hope for generations to come.

Pub Theology meets this Sunday, July 5 at 4:00 pm at Point Remove. John Cotton will be talking about Dante's Commedia (commonly known as the Divine Comedy).

"I became aware of a surprising resonance between Dante’s poetry and Islamic literature. Indeed, there has been a vigorous debate over the last century about whether Dante’s Commedia was influenced – directly or indirectly – by Islamic eschatological traditions, especially the Mi’raj (Muhammad’s night journey and ascension). The debate evolved from early speculation, through the Catholic scholar Miguel Asín Palacios’s explosive 1919 thesis, to the discovery of [The Book of Muhammad's Ladder] in 1949. which intensified rather than resolved the dispute. The controversy reveals deeper questions about medieval cultural exchange and the place of Arabic thought within the so-called Western tradition.
Dante uses falconry as an allegory of desire by portraying the soul’s longing for God as a falcon’s training: wild impulses are gradually disciplined, redirected, and transformed into a higher, obedient love. Scholars have explored the intercultural influences, particularly from Islamic traditions, that shaped Dante's understanding of falconry and its symbolic potential."

Looking for a simple way to serve at All Saints’? We have a couple of ongoing volunteer opportunities that require just a few hours each month but can make a meaningful difference!
Little Free Library Steward (2–4 hours per month)
Help keep our Little Free Library welcoming and well-stocked by straightening the shelves and adding or rotating books as needed. It’s a wonderful ministry of hospitality and outreach to our neighbors.
Linen Closet Coordinator (2–4 hours per month)
Help care for our parish linens by organizing the linen closet, maintaining an inventory, and identifying needs for replacements/additional items. (Does not require laundering linens.)
If either these opportunities speaks to you, or if you’d like more information, reach out to Sherrie or the contact the church office. We’d love to help you find a way to share your gifts in the life of our parish!

With a grateful heart, I am pleased to share another wonderful milestone in our Faithful Foundations Capital Campaign! As of this week, 31 households have made pledges totaling $215,923.20, bringing us to 96% of our $225,000 goal.
I offer heartfelt thanks to everyone who has responded so generously. Your prayers, faith, and financial commitments are a powerful expression of your love for All Saints’ and your desire to preserve and strengthen this sacred place for future generations.
While our campaign ingathering has concluded, pledges are still being accepted. If you have not yet had the opportunity to make a commitment, there is still time. Every pledge, regardless of size, helps us move closer to our goal and allows us to begin setting priorities and planning the projects funded through this campaign.
In the coming weeks, church leadership will review the campaign results and begin determining project priorities. Your continued participation will help us make decisions and accomplish our vision.

First Sunday Plate Offering
We would like to remind everyone that undesignated plate offerings collected on the first Sunday of each month will go toward the clergy discretionary fund. If you would like to designate offerings to a specific fund or ministry, you can do so through our giving page in OnRealm.
These offerings help support our monthly contribution to Help Network of Russellville, a local nonprofit organization that provides emergency assistance to low-income families and individuals. Our church often receives calls and visits from people seeking help with everyday living expenses and Help Network provides a way to respond to those needs in our community.
After our support of the Help Network, any remaining balance in the Clergy Discretionary account is available for other requests that our church can address directly.
